Watch the machine running

The shampoo filling machine running in productionBlue shampoo bottles move along the conveyor into the four-nozzle filling station, are filled and move on. The operator screen and push buttons are mounted on the machine.

Challenge

The machine needed a complete control system to feed, fill and discharge bottles in one reliable sequence, with accurate fills and simple operation for the line operators.

Solution

We designed the electrical and automation system, programmed the LS PLC for every stage of the machine and built the operator interface on a Wecon HMI. The sequence controls bottle feeding, filling and discharge, with manual and automatic modes, alarms, interlocks and a machine-status display.

After testing every I/O point, sensor and actuator, we commissioned the machine under actual operating conditions and fine-tuned the parameters for filling accuracy.

Scope of work

  • Electrical and automation design
  • LS PLC programming for the complete machine
  • Wecon HMI design
  • Bottle feeding, filling and discharge sequence
  • Manual and automatic modes
  • Alarms, interlocks and machine status
  • I/O testing and field-signal validation
  • Sensor and actuator checks
  • Testing and commissioning under production conditions
  • Parameter tuning for filling accuracy

Result

The machine now feeds, fills and discharges bottles in one automatic cycle, with the filling parameters tuned during commissioning. Operators switch between manual and automatic mode and follow alarms and machine status on the HMI.
