Testing and commissioning

Commissioning decides whether a line starts on time. We test every signal, every interlock and every sequence before production depends on them, and we close the punch list before handover.

What commissioning covers

We commission the systems we build, and we commission equipment supplied by others: imported lines, packaged units and process systems whose supplier needs a local team.

  • Pre-commissioning checks

Field instruments, wiring and electrical connections checked against the drawings.

  • I/O and loop checks

Every input and output tested between the field device and the control system, and every loop verified from end to end.

  • Logic and interlock tests

Sequences, safety interlocks and protection functions tested under controlled conditions before start-up.

  • Start-up and tuning

Gradual start-up under real operating conditions, then tuning of speeds, timings, setpoints and control loops.

  • FAT and SAT support

Support for factory and site acceptance tests: test procedures, witnessing and records, alongside the machine builder.

  • Punch list and handover

Commissioning observations resolved and the system handed over ready for continuous operation.

When to bring us in

  • A new line has arrived and the supplier's engineers are not in Egypt
  • A system was installed but never fully started up
  • You want an independent check before accepting a machine
  • Start-up keeps failing on the same faults

What you receive

  • Commissioning checklist and I/O test record
  • Interlock and alarm test record
  • Punch list with closure status
  • Record of tuned parameters
  • Handover session with operators and maintenance staff

Frequently asked questions

Can you commission equipment you did not build?

Yes, including imported lines. Our waste treatment project at a food and beverage plant was commissioning only: instrument checks, I/O tests, logic validation, start-up and punch-list closure.

Do you work with the machine builder's engineers?

Yes, on site or remotely. We follow their procedures and documents and report results in English.

How long does commissioning take?

We estimate it in the quote and confirm it after a site visit. The time depends on the number of I/O points, the process and how ready the site is.

Testing and commissioning

Have a line to start up?

Send the I/O list or the supplier's documents and your target start-up date. We will plan the commissioning with you.

What we need to quote

You do not need everything on this list. Send what you have and we will ask for the rest.

  1. What the machine or line does, and what you want to change
  2. Photos of the machine, the existing panel and the nameplates of the motors, drives and PLC
  3. Drawings, an I/O list or the existing program, if you have them
  4. Preferred PLC and HMI brand, or no preference
  5. Supply voltage and frequency at the machine, for example 380 V, 50 Hz
  6. Plant location and target date
  7. Languages needed for the HMI screens and documents
