Challenge
Milk must be pasteurized at the correct temperature and time on every run. The machine needed reliable control of each process stage, and parameters that operators could adjust for different production needs.
Solution
The HMI now shows the whole pasteurizer, from the raw-milk feed pump and balance tank through the plate heat exchanger and hot-water loop. It displays the pasteurization, outlet, inlet and hot-water temperatures and the inlet setpoint. The system runs on a Wecon PLC with expansion I/O and a Wecon HMI.
Manual, automatic, CIP and settings screens let operators run, clean and adjust the machine.
